DNC Palin Derangement Syndrome

The Democrats are so afraid of Sarah Palin that they have to - gasp! - *raise more money*! Oh yes. Her book is, according to these shameless hucksters, an attack on Obama. Oh, and on health care, which is, of course, the same thing in their eyes.

And she's dangerous.

Whhaaattt?

So what is the solution? Why, to raise half a million dollars, of course! That will fix things.

Here's the hysterical email, liberally sprinkled with DNC lies, that I got:

The Democratic Party
-----------------------
Janis --

Right now, Sarah Palin is on a highly publicized,
nationwide book tour, attacking President Obama
and his plan for health reform at every turn.

It's dangerous. Remember, this is the person who
coined the term "Death Panels"
--and opened the flood gates for months of false
attacks by specia interests and partisan extremists
(Note: anyone else tired of the Obama Democrats
labelling anyone who doesn't agree with them as
*extremists*...).

Whatever lie comes next will be widely covered
by the media, then constantly echoed by
right-wing attack groups and others who are
trying to defeat reform.

As we approach the final sprint on health reform,
we can't afford more deception and delay. We
need to be ready for anything -- and have
the resources to respond with ads, events,
and calls to Congress when the attacks come.

So we're setting a big goal: $500,000 in
the next week to help push back against
Sarah Palin and her allies. Please chip in
$5 or more to help reach our goal:

Earlier this month, Palin publicly said
that she hopes health reform will be
"dead on arrival." And since then, she's
been working fiercely toward that goal.

On Tuesday, Palin went on Rush Limbaugh's
radio show where she outrageously -- and
falsely -- suggested that Americans could
"face jail time as punishment" if they
don't buy insurance (note - this little
gem is actually true. Democrats did float
the idea of fining Americans who don't buy
mandatory insurance, and jailing them as well).

Palin has many more interviews scheduled on
Hannity and other conservative shows in
the next few weeks, with more platforms to
go after the President. As soon as she
does, the rest of our opponents will likely
parrot those attacks.

We need to be prepared. And we're counting
on you help. Can you chip in $5 or more?

Thanks,

Mitch

Great News!

Oprah is ending her show in 2011! Woo hoo!!!!! Of course she's going to take a year to do it, and there will be lots of tears, and "last chance" guests, and all that crap. Which of course, I won't watch because I don't watch Oprah, read her magazine, or buy the books she stamps with the O seal of approval through her bookclub.

Wonder who might be available to take her place? Maybe someone with a higher profile and a bestselling book... Hmmm... Someone personable and friendly... Hmmm....

Anyone but Oprah.

Trial and Terror by Andrew C. McCarthy on National Review Online

Trial and Terror by Andrew C. McCarthy on National Review Online

Obama is going to destroy U.S. intelligence capabilities and put Americans, particulary New Yorkers, where this "trial" would be held, at incredible risk of attack, for political gain. To discredit Bush and the Republicans for his re-election campaign, which began the day after election in 2008. He risks this country's national security again and again with his kow towing to Islamic regimes that hate us, and he has lost the respect of our allies. We are more alone on the international stage than we were when Bush invaded Iraq.

"From indictment to trial, the civilian case against the 9/11 terrorists will be a years-long seminar, enabling al-Qaeda and its jihadist allies to learn much of what we know and, more important, the methods and sources by which we come to know it. But that is not the half of it. By moving the case to civilian court, the president and his attorney general have laid the groundwork for an unprecedented surrender of our national-defense secrets directly to our most committed enemies."

To NARAL, NOW, Ms Magazine, Emily’s List, all Clairol Girls who ignored The Signs, How ya doin’?

http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com/2009/11/12/to-naral-now-ms-magazine-all-clairol-girls-who-ignored-the-signs-how-ya-doin/

"There’s a little gift waiting for all of you for endorsing Barack Obama.

Congratulations, the misogyny is about to complete itself. Start hauling all the water all over again. My generation did it once for you and you let it all be whittled down."

Read the article. A reminder of the many, many, many signs that Obama and the Liberal wing of the Democratic Party wrote women off as inconsequential long ago. They knew during his campaign that they didn't need to woo the majority of us, and they were right. Those of us who didn't buy his act were bitter menopausal women who "didn't get it". I am proud today that I was not one of you women who bought his act so blindly. But Goddess how I wish you could have heard me back then, or opened your adoring eyes and seen for yourself how empty were his promises because he had a track record of ignoring women's issues from his brief time in Illinois government.

There is no satisfaction in saying I told you so now. But it still needs to be said.

Women who voted for him, he sold you, your daughters, nieces, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and friends out. I feel sorry for you because I know you believed he meant what he said.

Obama/Pelosi bill would inflict fines and jail time on poor families who cannot afford the *mandatory health insurance* the Obamacare bill insists they buy. What the hell are the Democrats thinking? How is THIS a good idea?

Obamacare is the reintroduction of Debtor's Prison in the U.S.A! Of incarcerating citizens for not being able to pay debt. We're not talking the Madoff's fo the world, who've hidden their ill gotten gains abroad. We are talking about Joe Smith, who has a low paying service job, a wife, a few kids, and doesn't make enough money to feed his family, put a roof over their heads, AND buy health care insurance that Obama/Pelosi would insist he had to do. Failure to do so means a big fine, because hey if a guy can't afford the insurance he must have fine money laying around, right? And let's lock him up if he can't pay up. That'll teach all those poor people a lesson!

That is NOT the country I grew up in, but it sure as hell is the country the Liberals are foisting upon us. It's so hypocriticial. Feigning concern for the poor uninsured, then banging the drum of support for a bill that would throw those same people in jail.

I remain a registered Democrat because there is no viable alternative. The Republicans are cold hearted bigots. I believe that eventually sanity will return to the Democratic Party, but realize it won't be until after Obama runs the ship of state so far onto the rocks that even the diehard Believers will put down the koolaid and see that he has been the kind of president you get when you elect someone with no executive experience and 143 days as a U.S. Senator before hitting the campaign trail for a year and a half.

Obamacare is not a sane idea. It is madness. It would put into law ideas that are repugnant to most Americans. Jailing people for not buying insurance... What kind of country does that? What kind of president thinks that's a good idea?

And why isn't the mainstream press covering it? Oh wait, I forgot. The mainstream press has been part of the Obama spin machine for 2 years now. They have forgotten how to investigate stories without an agenda. Fearing explusion from the old boys club at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue that allows NBC and other media hubs access to Obama that would be slammed shut if they reported anything slightly critical of him, they say what will keep them in the door.

"The 1,990-page bill is breathtaking in its bone-headed audacity. The notion that a small group of politicians can know enough to design something so complex and so personal is astounding."

HR 3926—Congressional Graffiti?

HR 3926—Congressional Graffiti? : NO QUARTER

Pat's done it again. Another fabulous cartoon on another massive tome of incomprehensibility from the House of Representatives!

Like the stimulus bill that nobody could understand but Democrats gleefully passed into law and foisted upon us, and our descendents, to pay, the Obamacare Bill is unreadable. Page and page of lawyer-speak that means, what?

Nobody knows.

But hey The One wants it, so it must be good!

If this is leadership, Democratic Party style, the Democrats are doing more to resusitate the Republican Party's chances in 2010 than the GOP is. I've already told my reps not to vote for this mess.
