Political Ennui

I haven't posted in a few days because I am, once again, at the point of enni with the Democratic primary process. What is ennui"? According to Dictionary.com it is:

a feeling of utter weariness and discontent resulting from satiety or lack of interest; boredom

Hillary exaggerates sniper fire in Bosnia. More revelations about Obama's inflated resume... The specter of Reverend Wright is dancing on GOP blogs, awaiting the real election campaign that is on hold until the Democrats sort out the mess they created (see earlier archive post) .

Yawn...

McCain channels Bush and talks about how the surge "is working" as the 4,000 American dies in Iraq.

None of the candidates care about anything but getting their own selfish butt elected. Millions of dollars are, at least, being pumped into the economy from the Clinton and Obama campaigns. McCain gets to save his cash until the real election campaign begins...

Howard Dean is not visibly brokering an end to the quagmire.

Where is the Democratic leadership? Busy undermining one of their own, instead of pushing the two to get on a joint ticket, unite the party, and kick ass in November.

That is what needs to happen. Will the Democrats have the courage and vision to do something that bold?

I doubt it.
