Spring Violets

Violets are spring's gift - a delicate flower on a dainty stem, that can blanket the ground with color. They remind me of being a kid and picking a small bouquet of violets for my mother. She would put these tiny treasures in a small vase, and always seemed so thrilled to receive our little bouquets.

Mother's Day has just passed, and next week is the 13th anniversary of her passing beyond the Veil. My father died 40 years ago this month as well.

So I offer them both a bouquet of violets this morning, and send them my love and my gratitude. For the best parents a girl could ever hope to have...
