Deer have adapted quite well to life in the city, and their soaring populations have caused residents difficulties. They come right up to houses, eat flowers and trees, so gardening becomes frustrating.
This poor gal has tags in both ears and a collar around her neck.
While I don't like them eating my hosta, I think draping this kind of crap on them is animal abuse. The researchers should have to sleep with that stuff piercing their ears and around their necks for the rest of their lives if, in the name of "science", they are going to inflict this kind of discomfort on animals who never volunteered for the experiment. It's shameful, and there is probably a grant, paid for by your tax dollars, funding it.
