Spiffy New Jacket

While moderate Democrats and Republicans roll up their sleeves to try and save the spendulus package, Obama jetted off in Air Force One to a retreat with Democratic House of Representative members.

But at least he got a new blue jacket stitched with the words Air Force One in cursive and the presidential seal on his right side and "Barack Obama" on the left side.

"I've got my spiffy jacket so I thought I'd come and show it off," he told reporters. "What do you think about this spiffy ride? It's not bad."

From the resort, Obama fired off insults at the GOP and Bush. Guess that whole bipartisanship thing isn't working out for him.

Obama flew to Virginia, arriving at 6:30, traveling by motorcade to the resort to give a speech (his favorite thing), then was back on the plane 3 hours later. Can you imagine the money spent to send the motorcade to VA, staff the event, secret service, jet fuel, staff time - just so he can give a speech to lawmakers who meet and live in the same city he does?
