Unite, Don't Divide

The New Agenda and NOW are both important to women. Don't decide against one. Support both. Or choose one and be positively proactive in working for it, instead of wasting that energy in character/organization assassination against the other. 200 years without a woman president or vice president - I think we've got bigger fish to fry!

Hell, support any womens' group that is working to end sexism. If the misogyny of the past election made you as soul sick as it did me, learn the lesson. Don't participate in the woman-on-woman verbal violence and tear downs that keep all women from getting ahead.

Support other women when you can. And if you don't agree with what they are saying or doing, resist the culturally conditioned response to tear that bitch down. Instead, speak about what you believe in and what you are doing.

We need ALL womens's voices. We must learn to let other women speak, even if we disagree with them. Campaigns to undercut womens' organizations, particularly campaigns waged by other women, show that patriarchy is still alive and well.

Root it out in yourself and kill it.
